Swish Website Design
Webdesign for community member on WordPress
Website Designer | Team Project | 2022/10 weeks
Overview
Over a 10-week sprint, our team engineered a community-focused web platform for Swish, a first-of-its-kind inclusive basketball initiative for the QTBIPOC community. We focused on translating the founder's vision of a non-competitive, safe-space environment into a functional digital experience that prioritizes accessibility and streamlined donor engagement.
Role
Working in a three-person team, I collaborated on the foundational user research and requirements for our community partner. I created the site map, the PayPal and Instagram integrations, and held a primary role in creating the final hand-off materials to ensure a seamless transition for our community partner.
Process
Strategy & Needs
Before designing the website, we took time to gather information on the needs of Swish in a website. Through this process we translated organizational needs into tangible technical outcomes focused on outreach, engagement, and financial support.
Design a streamlined, five-page hierarchy—including dedicated Event, Community, and Legal Resource hubs—optimized for this community’s specific needs.
Information Architecture
Implement global navigation and search functionalities combined with clean design to create a high function site.
